Privacy Policy

INNI is a product owned and operated by Dimensional Interactive Inc. (“Dimensional,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We build a personality-based dating experience. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Who can use INNI

INNI is for adults 18+ only. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor is using INNI, contact us and we’ll remove the account.


The data we collect

We collect information in three main ways:

1) Information you provide

  • Account details: name, date of birth, gender, email/phone number, country/region.
  • Profile & preferences: photos, videos, interests, lifestyle details, dating preferences (e.g., age range, distance), sexual orientation and relationship preferences (these can be sensitive).
  • Assessments: personality test responses and results we compute from them (used for compatibility scoring).
  • Content: bio text, prompts, messages you send to other users, and AI-assisted content you opt to display.
  • Verification: phone number (required), and optional backup sign-in via Apple or Google.

2) Information we get from your device

  • Location: precise location when you grant permission; otherwise we may use approximate location (e.g., city/region).
  • Device & log data: device identifiers, app version, language, OS, crash logs, diagnostics, and basic usage analytics (e.g., page views, taps).

3) Information from service providers

  • Media hosting: we store profile photos and media with Cloudinary.
  • App data & authentication: we use Firebase for databases, authentication, analytics, and related infrastructure.
  • Payments: subscriptions are handled by Apple App Store and Google Play. We receive transaction status (e.g., active/canceled), not full payment card details.

How we use your data

We use your data to:

  • Provide the service: show your profile, match you with others, compute compatibility from your assessments and preferences, and enable messaging.
  • AI features you choose to use: generate profile prompts or conversation ideas; in chat, users can invoke AI to analyze compatibility with a specific match.Both users in that chat can see the AI’s responses.
  • Safety, security, and integrity: verify accounts, detect and prevent spam, fraud, harassment, illegal activity, and policy violations.
  • Product improvement & analytics: understand feature usage, fix bugs, and improve matchmaking and recommendations.
  • Compliance: meet legal, regulatory, and tax obligations and to enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information. We don’t share your sexual orientation, precise location, or personality results with advertisers for their own marketing.


Our legal bases (GDPR/UK GDPR)

Where applicable, we process your data under:

  • Contract: to provide INNI and features you request.
  • Consent: for precise location, and for sensitive data such as sexual orientation and relationship preferences. You can withdraw consent in your device or in-app settings.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure the service, prevent abuse, and improve INNI (balanced against your rights).
  • Legal obligation: to comply with law, court orders, or enforce our terms.

Sharing your data

We share data with:

  • Service providers / processors acting on our instructions (e.g., Cloudinary, Firebase, analytics, customer support, anti-fraud). They’re bound by confidentiality and data protection terms and may not use your data for their own purposes.
  • Other users: information you choose to put on your profile or send in chats is visible to others as intended.
  • Legal and safety reasons: to comply with law, enforce our policies, protect our rights or the rights, safety, and security of others.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy.

We don’t use your private messages for advertising and we don’t publicly display your content without your permission.


International data transfers

We operate internationally and use providers that may process data outside your country (including the U.S.). Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your information.


Retention & deletion

  • When you delete your account, we delete your personal information at that time from our active systems.
  • We may retain limited information as necessary for legal, tax, or anti-abuse purposes (e.g., transaction records, safety logs) and then delete or properly anonymize it.
  • Caches and backups may persist for a short period and then cycle out.

Your choices & rights

  • Access / correction / deletion: You can access and edit your profile in the app or request deletion.
  • Consent controls: You can enable/disable precise location in your device settings; you can also withdraw consent for sensitive data by removing it from your profile.
  • Marketing: We don’t send many marketing emails, but you can unsubscribe any time.
  • Do Not Track: We currently don’t respond to DNT signals.
  • Cookies/IDs: Our website may use cookies; the app uses device identifiers for functionality and analytics.

Rights under GDPR/UK GDPR (where applicable)

You may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, and data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.

Rights under CPRA/CCPA (California)

You may have the right to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale/share, and to limit use of sensitive personal information. Wedo not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use sensitive personal information (e.g., sexual orientation) only to provide the features you request (matching, preferences).

Rights under PIPEDA (Canada)

You may have the right to access and correct your personal information and to withdraw consent, subject to legal exceptions.

Security

We use industry-standard protections, including encryption in transit and at rest. No service can be 100% secure, but we work hard to safeguard your information and continuously improve our practices.


AI features: important notes

AI outputs may be incorrect or incomplete and are provided for information and entertainment within the app. Don’t rely on AI for legal, medical, or safety-critical decisions. In chat, both participants can see AI responses.


Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We’ll notify you in-app and update the “Last updated” date above. If changes materially affect your rights, we’ll provide additional notice as required by law.
